Job summary

University of Hawai'i System is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR programs for the UH System Office of Human Resources and support System and Manoa campus staff.

The role directs recruitment, examination, classification and compensation, employee relations, training and benefits, and provides high-level HR support to EMs, Directors and Managers. It also ensures compliance with laws, policies, CBAs and union relations.

Qualifications

• Experience directing and administering HR programs across multiple personnel types.
• Ability to develop policies in compliance with laws and union agreements.
• Experience with investigations, performance evaluations and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Directs and administers the full range of HR programs including recruitment, examination, selection, classification and compensation.
• Provides high-level HR support to EMs, Directors, Managers, and other employees within UH System offices.
• Consults with HR Managers and SMEs to implement services and meet requirements in HR areas.
• Establishes goals and objectives to improve HR services and operational effectiveness.
