Pets In Need is seeking an Human Resources Manager to lead and administer HR programs aligned with our mission. The role focuses on employee relations, compliance, recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, and HR operations in a nonprofit setting.

We require a proactive leader with 5+ years of HR experience, strong knowledge of CA and federal employment laws, and a commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice. This on-site role supports a positive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience as an HR generalist or HR manager.
• Knowledge of California and federal employment law.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and coach managers.

Aufgaben

• Serve as HR resource for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns and policies.
• Guide managers on performance management, coaching, corrective action, attendance, conduct and conflict resolution.
• Investigate employee complaints promptly and document findings and recommendations.
• Partner with leadership to address performance and conduct issues consistently and fairly.
• Coordinate onboarding and new-hire orientation; manage recruiting processes.
