Job summary

Steel Fabricators, LLC in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced HR professional to manage staffing, recruitment, and onboarding, aligning workforce planning with company goals.

The role covers payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and development of training and performance processes, including DOT certifications where applicable.

Strong communication, bilingual preferred, and HR software proficiency are essential to support operations and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with at least 5 years HR experience.
• PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess departmental needs and plan organizational development.
• Plan, organize, and control department activities; set goals.
• Revise job descriptions; monitor performance evaluations.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, and employee relations (event planning).
• Analyze turnover and absenteeism; develop improvement programs.
• Coordinate with external suppliers for employee services.
• Develop Employee Relations by counseling staff and managers.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and records (I-9, safety).
• Develop and maintain DOT Driver certification program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by GM.
