Job summary

Bambuza PDX LLC is seeking an Human Resources Manager to partner with operations and executives to build scalable people systems across multiple states. This hands-on role advises leadership and directly executes employee relations, compliance, performance management, and talent development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will work closely with General Managers and senior leadership to resolve issues, ensure legal compliance, and develop practical HR processes that support a growing multi-unit

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Experience supporting multi‑unit restaurant/hospitality operations.
• Experience with employee relations, leaves, workers’ comp, performance coaching.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and practical applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations investigations and advise managers on discipline and performance.
• Administer protected leaves and accommodations, coordinate return-to-work.
• Ensure compliance with wage, hour, and classification rules across states.
• Develop and audit HR policies and risk controls; partner with counsel as needed.
• Oversee recruitment for GMs and salaried roles; establish structured interviews.
• Design company-wide performance management and staff development programs.
• Improve HR workflows and implement scalable systems and AI tools.
• Promote safety culture and support field operations with HR guidance.
