Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced HR Manager for our Chicago, IL site. The role covers recruitment, employee relations, benefits, payroll (Paylocity), and compliance in an industrial environment. The candidate will report to Senior Leadership and work closely with the CFO.

Responsibilities include onboarding, performance reviews, training, workers’ compensation, and policy communication to managers and staff. Strong HR generalist background required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 3+ years HR generalist experience.
• Familiarity with Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, COBRA.
• Experience in an industrial setting helpful.
• PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Manage recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Maintain HR records and ensure legal compliance.
• Handle workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
• Oversee Paylocity payroll and benefits administration.
• Provide guidance on performance and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain org charts and weekly HR reporting.
• Represent HR in external matters.
