Job summary

Goyette Mechanical is seeking a Project Manager to lead the construction division’s mechanical contracting work in the Greater Columbus area. This is a full-time, non-union salaried position with benefits. Work location is jobsite in Sidney, Ohio.

Responsibilities include managing scope, budget, submittals, RFIs, and scheduling, while coordinating with general contractors and subcontractors. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in mechanical PM, strong planning, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years of Mechanical Construction Experience.
• Previous Mechanical PM experience.
• Reading and interpreting design plans, blueprints, and/or schematics.
• Sound organizational skills with data and document management abilities.
• Scheduling experience in construction projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage to Specific Project Scope and all Relevant Documents related to mechanical contracting.
• Provide start-to-finish Mission Critical Mechanical Project Management.
• Identify all Scope and Cost Variations.
• Manage to a Budget.
• Maintain Control of all Project Documentation.
• Manage and Track Submittals and RFIs.
• Well Versed in Project Scheduling.
• Attend and participate in relevant jobsite meetings.
• Plan and Manage Jobsite Logistics, Personnel, and Materials.
• Order and Track Materials, Equipment, etc.
• Track, Quote and Process Change Orders.
• Work closely with General Contractors, peer contractors, subcontractors, and other jobsite personnel.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of successful projects as the Mechanical PM
• Experience in reading and interpreting design plans, blueprints, and/or schematics
• Sound organizational skills with strong data and document management abilities
• Previous mechanical contracting scheduling experience and proficiency
• Dynamic and creative problem-solving with exceptional time management skills
• Solid verbal and written communication
• Dependable, Flexible, and Self-Starting
• Motivated self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
• Proficiency with construction accounting/budgeting software
• Must be available Full Time

Preferred Qualifications

• Mission Critical Project Management experience
• Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field and/or commensurate experience
• ProCore, SmartSheets and/or Google Sheets proficiency

Working Conditions

• Principally field work on Construction job sites in jobsite trailer and on Construction site.
• Occasional company-funded travel Flint, MI areas.
• Job requires occasional work outside to include in inclement weather.
• Light duty: Some standing, light lifting, and movement on foot throughout work site.
