Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead HR initiatives across our organization in Walker, MI.

This in-person role requires partnering with leadership, guiding HR operations, and supporting employees and managers across office and field environments. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in employee relations, labor relations, multi-state compliance, culture initiatives, and ERP-based HR processes, with a track record of building strong teams and advancing workforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong leadership in HR functions and advising leadership.
• Experience with multi-state HR compliance.
• Hands-on union/labor relations experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations and advise employees, managers, and senior leadership.
• Foster positive employee relations and coach leaders through workplace issues.
• Develop surveys and use feedback to improve engagement and culture.
• Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and best practices.
• Oversee HR compliance across multiple states (FMLA, disabilities, regulations).
• Manage union field manpower with project managers.
• Partner with leadership and Safety on grievances and labor issues.
• Build relationships with union employees and leadership.
• Partner with Finance to administer benefits programs.
• Lead talent management: workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, development, succession.
