Job summary

Jetstream of Houston, a Federal Signal subsidiary, seeks an experienced HR leader to manage talent acquisition, performance management, onboarding, employee relations, and compensation for a manufacturing site in Houston. The role drives culture, compliance, and strategic HR partnerships across the business.

You will lead a team, ensure regulatory adherence, and implement enterprise HR programs locally. A Bachelor’s in HR or related field is required, with 5+ years in HR management and PHR/SPHR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required; MS or MBA preferred.
• PHR or SPHR certification highly desired.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years of direct supervision.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in talent development, recruitment, compensation & benefits administration and compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal laws.
• Strong project management and process capabilities; able to plan, organize and prioritize for results.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Customer service focus and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability to create processes and frameworks for new/modified HR programs, policies and procedures.
• Ability to build strong partnerships and trust at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the HR function including talent acquisition, performance management, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and local training needs.
• Lead recruitment for site positions across levels and oversee HR investigations and hearings.
• Act as a change agent to foster a high-performance, transparent culture with effective communication.
• Coach and mentor management to optimize organizational development and succession planning.
• Coordinate enterprise programs with Corporate HR aligning with local business strategy and employee engagement.
• Supervise direct reports and develop bench strength for future needs.
• Oversee talent management, talent assessment, and collaboration with Corporate HR.
• Develop local human capital planning and fill talent gaps with targeted programs.
• Partner with business leadership, Corporate HR and Legal on enterprise HR initiatives.
