BorgWarner Ithaca is seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources to lead all HR activities for a large, complex manufacturing site and partner with site leadership to drive business performance through workforce strategy, labor relations, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

This role balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, guides labor negotiations, strengthens employee experience, and builds capability across the HR team to support change, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibility.
Significant employee and labor relations experience in a manufacturing or similarly complex operating environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and lead organizational change.
Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, judgment, and problem-solving capability.
Excellent communication, negotiation, investigation, and relationship-management skills.
Experience leading, coaching, and developing an HR team.

Responsibilities

Act as the lead HR representative for labor relations strategy and union-management interactions.
Lead contract negotiations and bargaining discussions balancing business objectives and workforce needs.
Advise leaders on discipline, performance management, and compliance with labor laws.
Oversee collective bargaining agreement administration, grievance management, investigations, and negotiations.
Develop labor relations capabilities within the HR team and site leadership.
