Job summary

Pregis LLC in Illinois seeks a Sr HR Generalist to align HR programs with business goals and serve as the primary liaison for employee relations across the site. You will manage HRIS, onboarding, benefits, recruitment, investigations, and compliance with employment laws.

The role partners with the HR Director and site leadership to promote an ethical, positive employee experience and a proactive culture of safety and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field required.
• Minimum three years HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
• Strong communication, organizational and change management skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of talent and culture at the location with leadership partners.
• Manage plant-level staffing in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
• Develop recruitment, retention, and training programs to enhance skills and engagement.
• Oversee full hiring process from job postings to onboarding.
• Act as liaison between employees and management, address employee relations issues and investigations.
• Support leaders with coaching, performance feedback, appraisals, and development plans.
• Administer HRIS changes and maintain accurate records for compliance with employment laws.
• Analyze HR data to identify trends and develop improvement action plans.
• Partner with safety leaders to ensure safety initiatives and reduce costs.
• Contribute to mid-year processes, AA Planning, and change initiatives.
