Job summary

Parkinson Canada is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to lead our HR function remotely for a national workforce. You will provide independent employee relations advice, manage recruitment, accommodations, RTW, and deliver people programs across provinces including Quebec.

The role requires 6–8 years of HR experience, knowledge of employment standards, and the ability to work without heavy HR support. French fluency is an asset and prior non-profit experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in human resources.
• CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
• Six to eight years of progressive human resources experience, including independent carriage of employee relations matters.
• Knowledge of employment standards, human rights, and privacy legislation across multiple jurisdictions; familiarity with Quebec is a plus.
• Comfort working without established systems and sound judgement on documentation.

Responsibilities

• Acts as first-line advisor to people leaders on performance management, attendance, conduct, accommodation, and workplace conflict.
• Conducts workplace investigations, documents findings, and recommends outcomes.
• Manages performance reviews and performance management processes.
• Oversees departures, including exit interviews and theme analysis.
• Interprets employment standards, human rights, and privacy across jurisdictions.
• Manages recruitment processes, from intake to offer, and engages outsourced recruiters as needed.
• Delivers HR programs including annual performance reviews, recognition programs, and development initiatives.
• Leads return-to-work and accommodation planning for absence files.
• Drafts and updates policies and employee handbook.
