Job summary

Parkinson Canada is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide independent employee relations guidance, lead recruitment from shortlisting to offer, manage accommodations and return-to-work, and deliver people programs across our national remote workforce of ~69 employees in Canada.

The role includes handling employment standards, privacy, and HR policy across jurisdictions, with preference for CHRP/CHRL and French language skills. Not-for-profit experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in human resources.
• CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
• Six to eight years of progressive human resources experience, including independent employee relations.
• Knowledge of employment standards, human rights, and privacy across jurisdictions; Quebec a plus.
• Comfort working without established systems with sound judgement on documentation.

Responsibilities

• Acts as first-line advisor on performance management, attendance, conduct, accommodation, and workplace conflict.
• Conducts workplace investigations and recommends outcomes.
• Manages performance review processes and departures including exit interviews.
• Manages accommodation and return-to-work planning across absence files.
• Supports compensation cycle and policy development.
• Drafts and updates policies and employee handbook.
