Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a Senior HR Generalist for a contract assignment in San Jose, CA. The role is 3 days per week onsite and focuses on complex HR cases with organizational changes, leave, and accommodation support.

You will mentor teams, resolve requests, and improve HR processes. You will collaborate with ERC, leave vendors, and ER partners to ensure timely, compliant case handling and provide clear guidance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven HR expertise in complex topics such as organizational changes, leaves, and accommodation processes.
• Strong problem-solving for complex cases with compassion and firmness.
• Manage a full caseload independently with timely SLA adherence and audit-ready documentation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 8+ years HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on sensitive work-related issues, including organizational changes and leave policies.
• Triage questions from internal HR teams; assess options and provide risk assessments.
• Lead intake, triage, and resolution of complex HR inquiries with empathy.
• Use case management systems to address employee needs and identify trends.
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, ER, HRBPs to resolve requests; communicate at all levels.
• Deliver updates on process and policy changes to enable the team.
• Contribute to process improvements for scalability.
• Support projects that drive organizational impact.
