Job summary

Ryerson, a leader in industrial metal products, seeks a Senior HR Generalist to support 400+ employees in the South Region. You will report to the HR Director and deliver HR services across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in HR or related field, 7+ years in manufacturing HR, excellent customer service and collaboration skills, and the ability to travel 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in HR.
• Manufacturing HR experience required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; proactive and results-oriented.
• Strong business acumen and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Employee relations support for field service centers including union and non-union environments.
• Coach and train leadership on performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement performance plans as needed.
• Lead continuous improvement in HR processes like recruiting, onboarding, and training.
• Support compensation and payroll activities.
• Utilize HRIS data to identify trends and inform actionable plans.
• Lead investigations and disposition of associate concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
