We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and people-focused Senior HR Generalist to join our established team and be a part of a company that really makes a difference.

The Senior HR Generalist will support the delivery of a high-quality HR service across our healthcare workforce. This role will support clinical and non-clinical teams in a busy, regulated environment, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies, best practices, and compliance with employment and healthcare regulations.

The Senior HR Generalist will also play a vital role in supporting employee relations, payroll, and workforce initiatives aligned with safe, compassionate care.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and advice to managers on Terms and Conditions of Service, HR policies, employment legislation, and HR management practices.
  • Advise on courses of action for managers and support decision-making processes.
  • Manage and support sickness absence processes, including data monitoring and reporting.
  • Assist with formal investigations concerning misconduct, poor performance, and harassment, supporting investigating officers and attending meetings as required.
  • Attend grievance, disciplinary, and capability hearings to advise on due process, decisions, and sanctions.
  • Maintain proper records, take formal notes when necessary, and facilitate understanding through appropriate questioning.
  • Prepare cases for appeal, including correspondence and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and minimize risks of Employment Tribunal proceedings through proper record-keeping.

  • CIPD Level 5 or working towards it.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
