Job summary

Bell Lumber & Pole Co. is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to deliver hands-on HR support for our southern operations in OK, AR, and LA, partnering with managers and employees to foster a positive, productive work environment aligned with our mission.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in HR, strong employment-law knowledge, and bilingual English/Spanish, with experience supporting multiple states in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources is required; 10+ years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law with employee relations experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on HR support for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.
  • Partner with centralized HR on compensation, benefits, leaves, and compliance initiatives.

Senior HR Generalist

The Senior HR Generalistwillprovide hands-on Human Resources support to our southern operations in Broken Bow, OK; De Queen, AR; and Gibsland, LA by partnering with managers and employees to foster a positive and productive work environment that supports our mission of radically loving and influencing lives. This role will serve as the primary local HR resource for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy administration while partnering with the centralized HR team on compensation, benefits, leaves, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience in Human Resources, strong knowledge of employment law with employee relations experience, and be bilingual in both English and Spanish.

Priorities will include the following:

  • Building strong working relationships with employees and leaders through on-site presence
  • Partnering with leaders on recruitment and retention initiatives (as well as staffing agencies if/when needed)
  • Coordinating and delivering onboarding and offboarding
  • Training and coaching leaders on policies, employee relations, performance management, and other Human Resources topics
  • Effectively managing employee relations issues and promoting a respectful workplace
  • Interpreting and administering company policies consistently
  • Maintaining personnel files and documentation with focus on professionalism and confidentiality
  • Assisting with compliance reporting, audits, and accurate data processing
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
    • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Human Resources is required; 10+ years is preferred, specifically experience supporting multiple states in a manufacturing environment and expertise in employee relations.
    • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is strongly preferred.
