Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Cockrell School of Engineering seeks a Senior Human Resource Coordinator to support HR lifecycle services and policy compliance on the UT main campus in Austin, Texas. This on-site role partners with departments, ORUs and the Dean’s Office to deliver staffing, payroll and performance management functions.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in HR or related field, 5 years HR experience, and strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in HR functions.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• Experience with Workday is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise on HR lifecycle requirements and processes.
• Review staffing needs for students, staff and research positions.
• Manage postings, applicant tracking and onboarding.
• Coordinate timekeeping, payroll, and leave procedures.
• Support performance management and employee records.
• Lead HR projects and ensure compliance.
