Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Cockrell School of Engineering seeks a Senior Human Resource Coordinator to partner with departments and ORUs to deliver HR services across the employee lifecycle. These roles ensure compliance with university policies and provide guidance on talent management, staffing, compensation, performance, and payroll.

You will handle recruitment, onboarding, timekeeping, leave, records, and staff development while supporting change management and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or public administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise departments on HR lifecycle requirements and processes.
• Oversee staffing, recruitment options, compensation analyses, and onboarding/outboarding.
• Coordinate timekeeping, payroll procedures, and leave policies.
• Support performance management and annual appraisals.
• Maintain confidential personnel records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead or participate in HR projects to improve service delivery.
