Job summary

Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission seeks an experienced Human Resource Consultant 4 to lead protected leave and accommodation programs. You will guide management and staff through interactive processes, oversee leave, workers' compensation, and wellness initiatives, and supervise a team to ensure compliant, fair handling of complex HR matters.

The role emphasizes policy interpretation, training development, and collaboration with internal teams while maintaining privacy and data

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of broad-based professional HR experience advising and consulting on complex issues.
• At least two (2) years must include administration of leave of absence programs and reasonable accommodation interactive processes.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert level consultation to agency managers, supervisors, and staff on reasonable accommodations and complex leave programs.
• Facilitate the interactive reasonable accommodation process from start to finish.
• Maintain electronic information tracking system and monthly reports.
• Maintain confidential personnel and medical information.
• Supervise HR staff and coordinate leave programs, workers' compensation, return-to-work, and wellness.
