Job summary

Washington Corrections Center (Shelton, WA) is seeking a Human Resource Consultant 4 (HRC4) to join the HR team. You will provide expert-level consultation on Civil Service Rules, CBAs, and agency policies to Appointing Authorities, management, supervisors, and staff.

This is a full-time, permanent position with no telework. You will also advise on staffing, performance management, and workforce planning, supervise HR staff, and support employee medical/occupational health processes.

Qualifications

• Interpret civil service rules and HR policies.
• Conduct corrective and disciplinary actions.
• Recruitment and selection processes.
• Consult and advise management on HR issues.
• Provide guidance on CBAs, laws, and policies.
• Supervise HR staff and coordinate training.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and guidance to authorities, management, and staff on HR issues.
• Advise on staffing and workforce planning with leadership.
• Supervise HR Consultants 1 staff.
• Manage employee medical and occupational health matters.
• Support reasonable accommodation and FML processes.
• Handle special projects and other duties.
