Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Corrections in Shakopee seeks a Regional Human Resources Consultant to provide HR leadership, consult with the regional director, and partner with executives, supervisors, and labor unions on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.

This full-time role offers up to 50% telework and requires three years of HR experience with labor relations; a bachelor’s or higher in HR or related field is preferred. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years of HR experience with labor relations and consultation.
• Degree can substitute for one year of experience.
• Familiarity with collective bargaining and contract interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR leadership and act as a regional business partner to executive management.
• Consult, advise, and propose solutions on employee relations issues including performance management and labor relations.
• Support bargaining unit contract compliance and investigations.
• Develop and lead HR trainings and policy initiatives.
