Senior HR Business Partner
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States
Compensation Range: $120,000 - 130,000 per year
Onsite Status: Hybrid role (combination of WFH and in-person work)
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and drive HR programs and talent initiatives aligned with business objectives across divisions and functions.
- Manage change within the HRIS system, including pay changes, transfers, retirements, and terminations.
- Partner with HR management to improve performance through coaching, counseling, and problem evaluation.
- Collaborate with leadership to foster a culture of engagement and excellence.
- Handle employee relations issues, including coaching, development, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with managing leaves of absence, including FMLA, state leaves, and workers' compensation.
- Serve as escalation point for employee relations and leave questions.
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies, manage ATS, and oversee onboarding processes.
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and federal/state regulations.
- Contribute to talent development programs, succession planning, and performance management.
- Maintain legal compliance and partner with legal department as needed.
- Update and develop HR policies, procedures, and forms.
- Participate in implementing and maintaining HRIS systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of HR experience.
- At least 4 years in strategic HR leadership, including labor relations in union and non-union environments.
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or transportation preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of applicable laws (ADA, ADEA, EEO, FMLA, OSHA, etc.).
- Experience with ADP and Kronos is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
