Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support both manufacturing and corporate environments in Lansing, MI.

The role partners with leadership to drive HR strategies, guide policy interpretation, and monitor HR metrics while maintaining a strong on-site presence and VOE. A senior level HR professional with 7–10+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area required, or equivalent, relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in HR, Industrial/Labor Relations or Business Administration preferred.
• HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM) preferred.
• Must be flexible and willing to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Coach and counsel leadership on employee relations and performance topics.
• Conduct investigations and resolve complex employee relations issues.
• Monitor headcount gaps and partner with leadership to determine solutions.
• Advise on performance management matters including actions and evaluations.
• Interpret company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Identify gaps in policies and propose revisions to drive culture change.
• Analyze turnover and trends, partnering with leaders to improve outcomes.
• Support organizational structure decisions and changes.
• Maintain presence on the production floor to learn business details and capture VOE.
• Provide input on strategies and programs to improve employee experience.
• Assist implementation of new HR strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as SME on federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Mentor junior HRBPs and maintain 5S3R standards on site.
