Bessemer Trust in Woodbridge, NJ is seeking a Senior HR & Benefits Specialist to manage HR and employee benefits administration for Family Office clients. The role covers lifecycle events, benefit plans, HRA/COBRA, retirement plan support, and client service. Requires 5+ years HR/benefits experience and a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of five years of progressive human resources and/or employee benefits experience.
• Working knowledge of employee benefit administration and applicable compliance requirements.
• Demonstrate generalist understanding of HR with strong ability to source solutions to unique HR issues.
• Experience with leave administration and legal requirements around leaves at a federal and state level.
• HR certifications are a plus – SHRM or HRCI.

Responsabilités

• Process client new-hire requests and onboarding information; maintain accurate files.
• Process client termination requests and maintain employee records.
• Respond to benefit plan questions from Advisors, clients and employees.
• Administer HRA plans, verify eligibility, and manage enrollment changes.
• Coordinate COBRA administration and supplier communications.
• Process monthly invoices for health plans and payroll vendors; reconcile invoices.
• Support year-end 401(k) census and Form 5500 activities; backup for plan funding.
• Maintain complete client and employee files; support internal audits.
