Job summary

Berkeley College seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee benefits, Leaves, workers' comp, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, VAWA, and related labor regulations. You will review policies, support budget prep, and ensure compliant HR operations.

Based in Woodland Park, NJ, this on-site role offers a mix of on-site with one remote day, opportunities to work across NY/NJ locations, and close collaboration with the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years' experience in benefits or related HR
• Experience with HRIS systems, UKG Pro preferred
• Working knowledge of benefits, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Support in benefits design, development, implementation, administration and communication; coordinate with brokers and carriers.
• Manage Wellness program and premium differential.
• Verify monthly premium statements for group policies and maintain data.
• Conduct benefit surveys to benchmark competitiveness and future offerings.
• Ensure leave of absence compliance and ADA/Workers' Compensation administration.
• Assist in budget preparation and policy/procedure enhancements.
• Conduct exit interviews and ensure timely reporting under ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, VAWA.
