Job summary

King County Department of Local Services seeks a Senior Human Resource Analyst to provide HR business partner support, manage leave administration, and oversee the full Talent Acquisition lifecycle. You will work with hiring managers to resolve HR challenges in a diverse, fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes equity, process improvements, and robust sourcing strategies using PeopleSoft, NEOGOV, and SharePoint. Collaboration and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional human resource experience with a focus on recruiting and leave administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Public or Business Administration or a closely related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-volume recruitment selection processes effectively and efficiently to hire the best candidate for each position.
  • Strong knowledge of leave administration, FMLA laws and regulations, and accommodation process.
  • Demonstrated skill at working collaboratively, creating relationships, building trust and rapport with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information quickly and identify trends, patterns, and impacts of data as it relates to workforce planning and development.
  • Skill in effective time-management, planning, prioritizing and coordinating multiple projects with critical timelines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, which includes the ability to deliver presentations and training to large groups.
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of PeopleSoft or other HRIS system.
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of NEOGOV or other electronic applicant tracking system.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency using SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook or an equivalent email program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, conduct, monitor and oversee fair, objective and equitable recruitment and selection processes.
  • Provide recruitment and hiring support to hiring managers throughout the department.
  • Facilitate and advise on FMLA, state leave laws, and related accommodation requests.
  • Create robust sourcing strategies to grow diverse candidate pools.
  • Develop and implement targeted recruiting strategies and activities; ensure compliance with non-discrimination laws.
  • Coordinate applicant screening, testing, and interview processes; train interviewers on unbiased practices.
  • Design and develop HR programs and metrics; deliver training.
  • Utilize HR tools to create and maintain recruitment documents and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
