Job summary

The Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Human Resources Analyst to join the Finance and Administration team and shape strategic talent initiatives.

You will lead policy design, recruitment strategies, data analytics, compensation planning, and organizational development, working remotely in Arizona with occasional in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Thorough command of federal and state employment laws, statutes, rules, and regulations.
• In-depth understanding of modern organizational development principles and state personnel policies.

Responsibilities

• Draft, refine, and execute innovative HR policies and procedures that align with agency priorities and statewide standards.
• Lead recruitment initiatives in partnership with agency leaders, overseeing candidate screening and reference evaluations.
• Research, analyze, and present key metrics, dashboards, and performance trends to executive leadership.
• Prepare analyses for base and performance pay proposals to ensure competitive growth.
• Develop and deliver learning sessions for employees and management teams.
• Collaborate with state partners, including the Arizona Department of Administration Shared Services team.
• Tackle high-priority HR initiatives and special assignments as needed.
