Job summary

Responsibilities

• Consults with and advises management, supervisory personnel, employees and their representatives on employment provisions and policies.
• Manages and coordinates all departmental recruitment, selection activities and referrals.
• Maintains payroll records, processes department payroll and prepares compensation details.
• Maintains employee records and onboarding, and assists in discipline and grievance processing.
• Responds to discrimination, EEO, workers’ compensation, and OSHA inquiries and investigations.
• Coordinates and reviews departmental personnel policies, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
• Represents the department in labor contract negotiations and related meetings with unions and legal representatives.
