NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) in Dallas, TX, seeks an HPC Systems Engineer to design and deliver a cohesive end-to-end HPC and cloud platform. You will work across compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, automation, and data center teams to reduce integration risk and align goals with business objectives.

The role requires a system-level view, crossing domain boundaries, and the ability to influence architecture and standards without direct authority.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, HPC, cloud infra, distributed systems, or data center infra.
• Deep expertise in at least one infra domain (compute, networking, storage, Kubernetes, or data center).
• Experience with AI/HPC platforms and components (NVIDIA GPUs, InfiniBand, scale-out storage, Kubernetes/Slurm).
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of system-level dependencies and architectural tradeoffs.
• Ability to lead technical discussions without direct authority.

Responsabilidades

• Drive cross-domain technical alignment across compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, automation, and DC infra teams.
• Lead integrated design reviews for new HPC deployments and major infrastructure initiatives.
• Identify dependencies, design gaps, scalability constraints, and integration risks.
• Define end-to-end architecture and implementation readiness criteria.
• Ensure designs meet performance, resiliency, and long-term operability.
• Develop system-level specifications for integration and interoperability.
• Participate in failure analysis and operational readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with automation teams to improve deployment consistency and lifecycle management.
• Serve as escalation point for cross-team integration issues and arbitrate tradeoffs.
• Influence platform standards through design reviews and mentorship.
