Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) seeks an experienced HPC Systems Engineer in Dallas, TX. The role spans compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and data center infra to deliver end-to-end HPC platforms rather than siloed components.

Responsibilities include leading cross-domain design reviews, identifying dependencies, and shaping scalable, resilient infrastructure. The ideal candidate harmonizes business goals with technical execution and partners across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of systems engineering experience in HPC, cloud infra, or data center environments.
• Deep domain expertise in at least one infrastructure area with broad cross-domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive cross-domain alignment across compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, automation, and data center infra.
• Lead integrated design reviews for HPC deployments and platform expansions.
• Identify dependencies, design gaps, scalability constraints, and risks throughout delivery.
• Define end-to-end architecture with domain teams and establish implementation readiness criteria.
• Ensure infrastructure designs meet performance, resiliency, and long-term operability.
• Collaborate with automation teams to improve deployment consistency and lifecycle management.
• Serve as escalation point for cross-team issues and arbitrate architectural tradeoffs.
