Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud LLC seeks an HPC Storage Engineer to design, deploy, and manage multi-PB storage systems supporting compute environments. You will automate procedures using Infrastructure-as-Code and guide projects with expert storage knowledge alongside Researchers and Software Engineers.

The role requires experience with scale-out storage (Vast Data, Isilon/PowerScale), a strong problem-solving mindset, and US work authorization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience deploying and managing high-performance and/or clustered filesystems at scale.
• Strong knowledge of data center storage technologies (file, block, object).
• Team player who collaborates to deliver supportable storage environments.
• Experience with scale-out storage architectures (Vast Data, Isilon/PowerScale).
• Recent experience with JIRA tickets.
• Strong problem-solving and self-driven work ethic.
• Passion for technology and hardware.
• Python and/or DevOps experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage multi-PB storage systems to support the compute environment.
• Implement automated processes and procedures via Infrastructure-as-Code for a repeatable storage product.
• Leverage storage expertise across projects as an expert.
• Work with customers to streamline workflows for optimal storage usage.
