Job summary

BasisPath is seeking a mid‑career HPC Software Engineer to work on an on‑site basis at a Colorado Springs customer location. The role involves porting, optimizing, and parallelizing codes to meet customer requirements within an HPC R&D contract.

You will mentor junior staff and lead training workshops, tutorials, and documentation to help end‑users adopt HPC tools and best practices. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and about 10 years of professional experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of professional experience.
• ~5 years developing and using modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous, multi‑platform environments.
• Experience working with HPC users and workflows for mod/sim problems and GUIs.
• Proficiency with HPC environments and related technologies.
• Proficiency with Fortran, C, and/or C++ and with Bash and Korn shells.
• Experience designing and delivering training sessions for HPC users and staff.

Responsibilities

• Port, optimize, and parallelize codes to user requirements in an HPC environment.
• Mentor junior TUS team members and provide code reviews and career guidance.
• Design and deliver training workshops, tutorials, and documentation for HPC tools and practices.
• Collaborate with the Chief Scientist, team lead, and customers to meet workflow, modeling, and data needs.
