Bolt Graphics in Sunnyvale, CA is hiring an HPC Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize high-performance computing software for complex simulations. You will work with C/C++, Python, and Linux, harnessing CPU/GPU architectures with OpenMP, CUDA, SIMD, and other parallel techniques.

The role emphasizes performance engineering, scalability, and optimization across architecture and compiler levels, with senior-level opportunities and a pathway to Principal roles.

Qualifications

• Experience with HPC development tools: OpenMP, TBB/oneTBB, and CMake.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Linux.
• Strong parallel computing concepts and performance optimization.
• Experience profiling, debugging, and optimizing computationally intensive apps.
• Hands-on experience enabling software on GPUs.
• Ability to work across abstraction layers from architecture to debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance software using C, C++, Python, and Linux-based environments.
• Implement and optimize parallel computing algorithms for CPU and GPU architectures.
• Develop software using parallel models and hardware acceleration (OpenMP, CUDA, SIMD, SIMT, AVX, SVE).
• Analyze performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve speed and scalability.
• Maintain HPC apps for physics, fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, and scientific computing.
