Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - HPC & GPU Infrastructure to design, develop, and optimize HPC and GPU clusters for Intelligence Community customers. This is an on-site role at Bethesda, MD.

The ideal candidate will drive installation, performance analysis, and workload-management using Slurm, PBS, Apache Airflow, and Kubernetes, while advancing power-efficiency and Linux-based testing. U.S. citizenship and DoD/IAT certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Experience enabling Linux-based HPC and GPU compute environments.
• Familiarity with Linux OS integration, hardware architecture, and parallel computing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain GPU and HPC hardware on-premises and in the cloud, with focus on performance.
• Analyze HPC/GPU cluster performance and identify bottlenecks to improve applications across Linux environments.
• Install and configure job-scheduling and workload-management platforms (Slurm, PBS, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes).
• Apply power-management techniques to optimize GPU power consumption on Linux systems.
• Design Linux-based tests to validate GPU performance, with stress testing, benchmarking, and debugging.
