Job summary

NewGen Technologies seeks a mid-career HPC Software Engineer to join the TUS team onsite at a Colorado Springs customer site. You will port, optimize, and parallelize codes to customer requirements and help users maximize time-to-science using HPC resources.

You will mentor junior engineers, review code, and design training workshops and documentation to promote best practices in HPC tooling and performance tuning. On-site collaboration with scientists and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with strong mathematics and/or physics background.
• 10 years of professional experience in modeling and simulation software.
• Experience with HPC users workflow for modeling/simulation problems and GUIs.
• Proficiency in Fortran, C, and/or C++.
• Experience with Linux and scripting (BASH, Korn).

Responsibilities

• Port, optimize, and parallelize codes to user requirements.
• Mentor junior TUS team members with code-review sessions.
• Design and deliver training, tutorials, and docs for HPC tools.
• Perform system performance analysis, benchmarking, and tuning.
• Help users adapt to production HPC resources and job schedulers.
