Job summary

Halogen Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for HPC/LLMs with 7+ years of experience and a current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. The role involves designing, developing, deploying, and supporting RAG solutions in a Linux HPC environment.

Proficiency in Python, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, and secure SI development is required to deliver production-ready solutions in mission-critical settings. The position is onsite at Annapolis Junction, MD, with a day shift and no travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux environments for development, troubleshooting and system admin
• Proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience designing and deploying Helm charts for Kubernetes apps
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to derive software design and performance needs
• Debug existing software and fix defects
• Design, code, test, deploy, and document software components
• Review and test software against requirements and document results
• Coordinate software installation and monitor performance
• Lead one or more software development teams as appropriate
• Develop data queries for databases and ensure system performance
