Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions seeks a Sr. Software Integration Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD to lead test, evaluation, integration, and troubleshooting of the HPC software stack.

The ideal candidate has an active TS/SCI w/Polygraph, extensive Linux experience, Bash/Python scripting, and Slurm expertise, with HPC system administration and IaC skills using Salt and Ansible. This is a full-time, on-site role with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Security+ Cert is required.
• 10 years of demonstrated experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous OS environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 5 additional years of software engineering experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Test, evaluate, integrate, and troubleshoot the HPC software stack and related system issues.
• Support Linux CLI and Bash/Python scripting for automation and tooling.
• Understand Slurm resource management and job scheduling for HPC workloads.
• Assist with system administration tasks and troubleshooting of HPC systems.
• Apply IaC concepts using Salt and Ansible; maintain HPC shared file systems (Lustre, GPFS, Panasas).
