Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Approximately 12 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in a scientific computing environment, academic setting, required.
• Experience with Infiniband networking, CUDA, and HPC clusters required.
• Experience architecting clusters, scheduling systems, and research workflows required.
• Experience with secure, compliant computing for regulated data (e.g., NIST 800-171).
• Experience mentoring staff and leading technical teams.

Responsabilidades

• Designs the architecture of the department’s Peta-Scale storage infrastructure.
• Architects data lifecycle management and storage tiers, including off-site replication to cloud providers.
• Develops highly reliable batch scheduling infrastructure.
• Designs the architecture of the department’s HPC infrastructure.
• Trains and mentors junior staff in monitoring and troubleshooting cluster performance issues.
• Oversees installation of scientific computing software stacks and workflows.
• Leads training events for research users on cluster and storage resources.
• Produces complex technical documentation for the research community.
• Interfaces with investigators to assess requirements and implement tailored solutions.
• Manages vendor relations and negotiates commercial solutions.
