Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of HPC ops experience, strong cybersecurity expertise, and hands-on NIST compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HPC systems administration in large-scale Linux environments.
• Experience with HPC schedulers, parallel file systems, configuration management, databases, web services, Globus, and high-performance networking.
• Strong cybersecurity background within regulated environments (healthcare/government) including firewalls and data protection.
• In-depth knowledge of NIST SP 800-171/800-53 with hands-on compliance experience.
• Script and programming experience; ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle administration of secure HPC infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and services.
• Administer core HPC services such as job scheduling platforms (LSF), Open OnDemand, and PostgreSQL.
• Design, maintain, and enforce secure network architectures and access controls.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident response, and performance tuning across the stack.
• Ensure continuous compliance with CMS DMP SAQ, NIST controls, NIH data governance, and Mount Sinai standards.
• Coordinate audits, certification efforts, and remediation activities.
• Support researchers with computational, data, and analytics needs; create user-facing documentation.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.
