Job summary

County of Orange is seeking a Senior Housing Specialist to support the Housing Authority’s Housing Choice Voucher and related programs. The role requires applying HUD and local regulations, coordinating multiple sections, and ensuring program integrity with strong customer service.

The position includes a possible hybrid telecommuting schedule and collaboration with internal teams to promote efficient housing assistance for low-income households.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with HUD's Housing Choice Voucher Program.
• Ability to interpret housing laws, regulations, and local policies.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience training staff and monitoring workloads for efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, assign, and review workloads of staff.
• Perform quality control reviews of eligibility determinations and inspections.
• Respond to inquiries from diverse sources and coordinate with counsel as needed.
• Represent the Housing Authority at meetings, trainings, and public events.
