Job summary

UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services is seeking a Principal Housekeeping Manager to supervise housekeeping for thousands of units and complex facilities. You will lead a mix of full-time and seasonal staff, ensure safety and quality standards, and train personnel across multiple properties.

You will manage budgets, coordinate cross-departmentally, and travel to off-site locations as needed to maintain full occupancies and high customer satisfaction in a dynamic university environment.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years custodial experience in a large institution.
• 2 years leading or managing teams.
• Knowledge of University policies and performance evaluations.
• Experience with time reporting and payroll procedures.
• Ability to read/write English; strong written schedules and reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping for 3,638 off-campus units across 86 complexes.
• Supervise 16–24 full-time staff and up to 35 seasonal workers.
• Hire, train, and evaluate direct reports; manage deep cleaning season.
• Assist in departmental budget and supply expenditure management.
• Coordinate with rental/facilities staff to maintain high occupancy.
