Job summary

UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services (H&HS) is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee custodial operations for a large residence hall complex. You will manage 16-20 full-time employees and up to 10 seasonal staff, ensuring adherence to cleaning standards and safety guidelines for up to 2,000 residents and 200,000 sq ft of space.

Responsibilities include staff training, performance oversight, on-site inspections, and coordination with facilities to maintain high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years custodial experience in a large institution (Required).
• 1-2 years leading or overseeing teams (Preferred).
• Experience in a higher education environment (Preferred).
• Knowledge of University policies and procedures related to staff and AFSCME agreements (Preferred).
• Ability to supervise and train staff, manage performance, and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping functions for a multi-unit residence hall facility housing up to 2,000 residents.
• Supervise 16-20 full-time staff and up to 10 seasonal workers; train on job tasks and safety.
• Ensure cleaning standards meet customer expectations and safety regulations; perform quality checks.
• Conduct on-site inspections and coordinate with facilities for timely operations.
