Job summary

Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Engineer to perform basic maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, with emphasis on guest rooms, public areas and front of house. Duties include preventive maintenance, record-keeping, and timely response to service requests.

Responsibilities include routine PM activities across property, minor repairs, proper use of PPE, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of technical fields (carpentry, painting, electrical, etc.)
• Six months related maintenance experience desired
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
• Ability to use basic math and computer systems used at the property

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance throughout property including guest rooms, public areas, and meeting spaces
• Respond to guest requests and repair issues; escalate to management as needed
• Maintain records of work orders and tasks performed
• Inspect and replace parts, maintain tools and safety gear in good condition
• Adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements
