Job summary

Remington Hospitality in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to manage the Synergy system, respond to service calls, and maintain hotel mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. You will coordinate with electricians, carpenters and other staff, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety compliance across guest rooms, pools and fire safety equipment.

This role requires prompt response times, accurate logging, and a proactive approach to repairs and installations,

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the Synergy system and respond to service calls within the hotel.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and machinery and record usage.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on guest rooms and major mechanical equipment.
• Respond to service calls within 30 minutes of notification.
• Troubleshoot defects, take corrective action, and log results.
• Follow departmental procedures for repairs, maintenance, alterations and installs.
• Comply with applicable codes and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters, and night engineers for service and installations.
• Assist in training new mechanical staff on equipment and daily hotel operations.
• Maintain all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain pools, filters and pumps daily.
• Adjust televisions and program boxes as needed.
• Paint, stain or repair interior and exterior finishes.
• Change light bulbs and ballasts promptly.
• Record temperature and pressure readings daily, weekly and monthly.
• Install and repair carpets and address safety hazards promptly.
• Maintain fire safety equipment operations and emergency procedures when required.
• Respond to HVAC and room calls as a priority.
• Produce logs, charts and preventive maintenance forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
