Qualifications

• One to two years increasingly responsible housekeeping experience in hotel environment required.
• Prior supervisory experience desired.
• Ability to lead others in the department by mentoring and providing training that results in staff that meets/exceeds guest expectations and provides a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Ability to monitor labor by anticipating business activity while ensuring staffing and labor cost objectives are met.
• Ability to serve guest needs through verbal interactions with discretion and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Trains and coaches housekeeping staff in cleaning tasks and daily schedules; conducts new team member training.
• Tours assigned areas to ensure standards and checks productivity in completion of assignments.
• Coordinates cleaning and maintenance schedules with front desk and maintenance; verifies laundry and inventory restocking.
• Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; notifies supervisor/management of unusual events or alleged theft.
• Notifies management of safety issues and ensures PPE and HazMat compliance per policy.
• Develops work schedules and coordinates staff assignments with Housekeeping management.
• Assists with department services (laundry/housekeeping) as needed; supports team efforts.
• Returns items found in guest rooms/logs information (date, location, item, finder).
• Maintains safety and professional appearance, adheres to training on disposal/handling of sharps.
