Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Harlingen, operated by BC LYND Hospitality LLC, seeks an Engineer III to oversee facilities maintenance and ensure safe, efficient hotel operations. You will lead maintenance initiatives, manage equipment, and support energy-saving efforts while coordinating with vendors and hotel management.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to work on weekends and holidays as needed to sustain guest services and infrastructure reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering or maintenance.
• Hospitality facilities experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruption.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve efficiency.
• Maintain records of activities, equipment status, and inventories.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; conduct safety checks/training.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and cost-reduction measures.
• Provide guidance to junior engineering staff and participate in management meetings.
