Qualifications

Responsibilities

This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff, contributing to the overall guest experience and satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other mechanical systems.- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations and guest services.- Collaborate with the hotel management team to develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules to enhance operational efficiency.- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory of supplies to ensure efficient operations.- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety checks and training as necessary.- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or installations, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.- Assist in energy conservation initiatives and recommend improvements to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.- Participate in hotel management meetings to discuss maintenance priorities, challenges, and strategies for improvement.Required Education:- Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in a similar role may be considered.Required Experience:- Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering or maintenance roles, preferably within the hospitality industry.- Demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.- Proven track record of leading a team and managing projects in a fast-paced environment.Required Skills and Abilities:- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, guests, and vendors.- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the hotel.
