Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Harlingen, operated by BC LYND HOSPITALITY LLC, seeks an Engineer III to oversee hotel facilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and guest comfort across all building systems.

You will conduct inspections, implement preventive maintenance plans, and lead a maintenance team. You’ll coordinate with vendors, document activities, and drive energy-efficiency projects while supporting hotel operations and management decisions.

Qualifications

• Engineering or facilities management degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years in engineering or maintenance in hospitality.
• Proven leadership in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanicals).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies with minimal guest disruption.
• Collaborate with management to implement maintenance schedules improving efficiency.
• Maintain records of activities, equipment status, and inventory.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and conduct regular safety checks and training.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
• Assist in energy conservation efforts and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Provide guidance to junior engineering staff and support management meetings.
