Job summary

Embassy Suites Rosemont is seeking a Chief Engineer to ensure the hotel’s building systems run reliably and safely, while leading the engineering team to deliver preventative maintenance and capital projects.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, plus budgeting and safety compliance. This on-site position supports a high-demand, event-driven environment with a unionized operations setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years leadership experience
• Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer experience preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee building runs safely and reliably.
• Lead the Engineering team with clarity and accountability.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Manage budget, purchasing, and inventory; cost control.
• Lead renovation and CapEx projects; coordinate vendors and contractors.
• Train and develop the engineering team and set performance standards.
