Job summary

Hampton Inn Boston/Braintree is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel’s engineering department and oversee maintenance, safety, and energy management. You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and coordinate with contractors while ensuring guest comfort and operational excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
• HVAC or electrical certifications advantageous.
• Experience in hotel/building engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day engineering operations and ensure mechanical systems run optimally.
• Maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to quality standards.
• Lead safety programs, training, and regular drills for the engineering team.
• Plan and supervise maintenance projects, coordinating contractors and budgets.
